Damn you Civil War (the fake one, not the historical one)!

5/3/06 Yes that is when it all started. After over 10 years of ignoring Comic Books, I got sucked back in to buying comics again. It was slow at first, a Civil War issue here and maybe a CW Frontline issue there. My buying habits expanded and I started buying the occasional DC issue (Richard Donner’s run on Action Comics) and a Civil War tie in, but I still was only buying a few books a month. Then I discovered the comic store on my street, 3 blocks away from my place. Within a year my occasional habit had turned in to a full scale habit. I was buying 4 times a month and I knew when the new books hit the stores (wed) and I was listening to comic related podcasts (iFanboy).
How did this happen? I thought I quit reading comics in college. It was Civil War and it’s tie in’s, crossovers and that damn exceptional writing (Brubaker) on Captain America.
I hit rock bottom today and spent over $50 at some comic store in Redondo Beach today. I even bought some Turner variant (my bad) covers, like I am really going to get on ebay and sell them.
I need a cheaper hobby. Do they still make crack?
