Battlestar Galactica: Episode 407 Recap

After all the ruckus that went on last week (“Faith”) things have not settled down in space. Kara Thrace has just endured a brief mutiny on her mission to find Earth. To add insult to injury the Clyon Hybrid gives her the awesome news that not only is she the “harbinger of death” but that she will also lead everyone to their end.

“Guess What’s Coming to Dinner?” finds the Demetrius and the captured Clyon baseship preparing to rendezvous with the Galactica, except that the Demetrius breaks down and is unable to jump leaving the baseship in jeopardy of being attacked by the Colonial fleet. It gets tense for a while but (undercover Cylon) Saul Tigh manages to keep the Galactica from destroying the basehip.

Back on the Galactica the Cylon rebel leader, Natalie offers a truce to the Colonial fleet. In exchange for a chance to destroy the Cylon resurrection ship, she asks the Humans for help recovering the Clyon Deanna Biers (aka 3) . Both sides are suspicious of each other but accept the truce while making contingency plans in private.

Meanwhile Gaeta gets his leg amputated and spends the rest of the episode singing. This will definitely become more significant later on in the season.

President Roslin lets her (sexy) aide Tory Foster know that she is aware of her affair with (the always virile) Gauis Baltar - awkward.

Athena’s daughter Hera wanders out of her room and finds Natalie just in time for Athena to show up, freak out, and then shoot her.

After talking with Starbuck, Roslin heads to the baseship with Baltar and Karl to talk to the Hybrid who wakes up and sends the ship off in to space.

Things can only get more interesting from here.
